Restoring Sight, Restoring Hope!
For 55-year-old Adelach Kassa from Chagni Town, losing her sight meant losing her livelihood, and her daughter Seniet left school to care for her.
Thanks to Partners in Education Ethiopia and the Barzilai Foundation, Adelach received free cataract surgery at Dr. Solomon Eye Clinic.
Now she has regained her sight and independence, and Seniet can return to school.
Transparency and Community at Work in Bahir Dar
Partners in Education Ethiopia is putting transparency and community collaboration into action in Bahir Dar. During the bid opening ceremony for the new Addis Amba Pre Primary School, local leaders, parents, and education officials came together to take part in an open and accountable selection process. The project will deliver 14 classrooms, accessible facilities, WASH infrastructure, and a playground, creating a safe and inclusive learning space for children

Hayat’s Story: A Clearer Path to Learning
Hayat Yenus, an 11-year-old student from Bahir Dar, struggled with vision problems that caused her to repeat first grade twice, as her family couldn’t afford follow-up care after early surgery. Thanks to a school screening by Partners in Education Ethiopia and Operation Eyesight, she received eyeglasses that restored her vision—renewing both her hope and her family’s.
