Partnership Dialogue with Save the Children Ethiopia

Yesterday (December 2, 2025) Partners in Education Ethiopia (PiEE) had a productive and inspiring partnership meeting with the Save the Children Ethiopia Country Office. It was a pleasure reconnecting with colleagues Mathias Weyessa, Edris Youna, and Meheret Tena, and exploring areas of strong alignment and collaboration.

We were encouraged by Save the Children’s recognition of PiEE’s holistic, multi-sector, and community-driven model—covering school construction, teacher development, WASH, health, nutrition, digital learning, and our work in conflict-affected areas across Amhara. Their reflections on our lean, community-embedded structure and the impact of our 10-year journey were truly appreciated.

The conversation highlighted meaningful pathways for partnership, including collaboration in Education in Emergencies, strengthened support for children with disabilities, deeper community engagement, joint field visits, and opportunities for future expansion. PiEE looks forward to advancing this partnership to improve access and the quality of education for the most vulnerable children across Ethiopia.

A special thank you to the Save the Children team for the warm welcome and insightful exchanges.
