Outcome Measurement

We measure progress through both quantitative and qualitative assessments, ensuring our programs deliver meaningful, lasting impact.

Each year, we administer USAID-developed Early Grade Reading and Mathematics Assessments (EGRA and EGMA) in our schools and nearby control schools. Assessments are conducted by education students from Bahir Dar University and analyzed by Partners’s research team.

We also track dropout and completion rates, particularly among girls, to identify areas for improvement and set targets for the following year.

Continuous learning and improvement

Findings are shared with teachers, principals, and education officials to guide ongoing program refinement. Focus groups and follow-up interviews with students, parents, and teachers complement this data — providing a deeper understanding of how our work is improving learning outcomes and community engagement.
