PiEE and Bahir Dar University Renew Strategic Partnership

Bahir Dar University (BDU) and Partners in Education Ethiopia (PiEE) have renewed their Memorandum of Understanding, building on nearly a decade of collaboration to improve the learning, health, and wellbeing of children and youth in the Amhara Region.

The renewed partnership expands collaboration across the University, with a stronger focus on foundational literacy and numeracy, early childhood development, teacher development, digital learning, WASH, eye health, research, and youth skills development.

Over the years, the partnership has supported school construction and furnishing, teacher capacity building and scholarships, vision centers, and eye-health services reaching more than 180,000 students, staff, and community members.

This renewed MoU opens an exciting new chapter—building on what has worked and working together toward evidence-based, sustainable, and scalable solutions for education, health, and community development.
