Early Intervention for School Readiness Program Launched!
Partners in Education Ethiopia has officially launched its Early Intervention for School Readiness Program across 13 selected schools in Amhara Region. Participants from the schools and health facilities received training to support effective program implementation.
As part of the launch, health corners were established, screening materials were distributed, and child screening began during school registration.
The program follows an integrated model connecting schools, communities, and health centers. Schools support early identification, screening, and referral; communities provide counseling, follow-up, and support for children and caregivers; and health centers offer treatment, referral services, and health promotion.
This coordinated approach aims to identify and address children’s health and developmental needs early before they become barriers to learning.
At Partners in Education Ethiopia, we believe early intervention is essential to ensuring that every child begins the academic year healthy, confident, and ready to learn.
