Partnership with Bahir Dar Institute of Technology

Partners in Education Ethiopia has officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Bahir Dar Institute of Technology, Bahir Dar University.
This partnership is not just about collaboration, it is about solving real challenges in schools through practical, locally driven innovation. It brings together BiT-BDU’s strong technical expertise, research capacity, and innovation culture with Partner’s deep field experience, community trust, and long-term commitment to improving education outcomes.

Together, we will work to improve school infrastructure and learning environments, expand access to quality and inclusive learning materials, advance WASH and school greening solutions, strengthen digital learning and student data systems, and create meaningful STEM and innovation opportunities for students. What makes this partnership particularly powerful is its focus on turning ideas into action ensuring that research and innovation are translated into practical solutions that directly improve how children learn every day.

We are especially excited about co-developing cost-effective, scalable, and locally adaptable solutions that respond to real needs from classrooms and assistive devices to water systems and digital platforms. At its core, this collaboration is about one thing: improving the daily learning experience of children, especially those in underserved communities.

This is how sustainable change happens through shared purpose, complementary strengths, and a commitment to making innovative work where it matters most.

Looking forward to what we will build together.
