Assistive Devices Distribution
Partners in Education Ethiopia (PiEE), with generous support from the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), has distributed learning and assistive materials to 12 partner pre-primary and primary schools in Ethiopia’s Amhara Region.
The materials include sound balls, white canes, books, puzzles, abacuses, and computers equipped with JAWS screen-reading software. Each can help make learning more accessible for children with disabilities.
Thank you to CHAI for its continued partnership and to the Bahir Dar City Administration Education Department for supporting the distribution.
More schools need resources to support children with disabilities. If your organization is interested in helping establish and equip inclusive classrooms, we would welcome a conversation. Let’s work together to help every child participate and learn.
